The world's most popular oriental lily hybrid, producing large upward-facing flowers with deep pink petals edged white and spotted with dark red. Intensely fragrant. The first oriental lily bred to face upward. Excellent in borders and containers. Flowers in July and August. A statement plant for UK gardens.

How to grow lilium 'stargazer'

Plant 15cm deep in autumn or spring in acid to neutral soil. Needs lime-free compost in containers. The heavy fragrance is wonderful near seating areas but can be overpowering indoors. Stake in exposed positions. Remove pollen-laden anthers to prevent staining.
