Garden UK ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under UK data protection law.
What we collect
Analytics data
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID: G-9YHSSHGJW1) to understand how visitors use our site. Google Analytics collects:
- Pages you visit and how long you spend on them
- Your approximate location (country and city level, not exact address)
- Device type, browser, and screen size
- How you arrived at our site (search engine, direct link, social media)
Google Analytics is loaded through Cloudflare Zaraz, which sends these events from the network edge rather than from scripts running in your browser. It uses first-party cookies to distinguish between visitors, and IP anonymisation is enabled. We do not use Google Analytics data for advertising or share it with third parties beyond Google and Cloudflare.
Newsletter subscriptions
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address through Mailchimp (our email service provider). We use your email address only to send you our monthly gardening newsletter. We do not share your email with anyone else. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
