Cholmondeley Castle Gardens has been developed as a plantswoman's garden rather than a formal setting for the castle. The Silver Wedding Arboretum leads towards the Temple Garden, where a lake, temple, rock garden and cascade create the main sequence. Collections of magnolia, rhododendron and camellia add spring interest, while the refurbished rose garden carries the display into summer. The wider estate also includes historic parkland, making this a longer visit than the ornamental gardens alone suggest.
